Bertha Bartlett Public Library
503 Broad St, Story City, IA 50248
Saturday, February 28th || 10 am – 4 pm
Sunday March 1st || 10 am – 1 pm
Join us at auditions to get involved in this true musical classic! Auditions for Fiddler on the Roof will be held at the Bertha Bartlett Public Library on Saturday, February 28th from 10 am – 4 pm, and Sunday, March 1st from 10 am – 1 pm, with callbacks for select characters from 3-7 pm on Sunday.
Set in what is now Ukraine in 1905, Tevye the village dairyman works to support his family and keep his community’s traditions alive, while raising his five daughters in an unfair world on the brink of modernization and political upheaval.
This year, auditions will be done in groups, as we’ll have you learn a short dance routine together. Please prepare a 90-second snippet of a musical theatre song to perform individually for our casting team as well. To sign up for a time, click on the sign up button below! Audition forms can be downloaded at the link below, and will also be available to fill out at auditions!
Please note: We will be looking for a total cast of around 50 performers, with a maximum of 10 youth performers under the age of 13.
Performances will be held over two weekends: Friday, May 29th through Sunday, May 31st and Friday, June 5th through Sunday, June 7th at the Roland Story High School Auditorium.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us here or at JudgeStoryTroupe@gmail.com

About Scandinavian Days
Scandinavian Days began in 1965 as part of the Syttende Mai (17th of May) celebration, or Norwegian Constitution Day, that Story City’s Immanuel Lutheran Church held each year. Since then, the festival has seen many changes, but Scandinavian Days still rings true to its roots with traditional foods, folklore, and a rich pride of the community’s heritage, with activities on Broad Street, the Roland-Story High School, and North Park in Story City!
